Acetal is the name of a group of common carbonyl compound derivatives. Acetals have many applications, from polyurethane cleaners to protection for aldehydes and ketones. Integrated Chemicals has a wide range of polyurethane cleaners including various types of acetal. Various types of acetal to suit your application
The range of acetal compounds at Integrated Chemicals contains various types for numerous uses. For instance, 1,3-Dioxolane acetal is a good multipurpose solvent. It can be used as diluent, but also as reagent. It can easily resolve resins, including polyurethane. Because of its excellent properties, this type of acetal, is often used in the formulation for coatings and adhesives. Another acetal type, Glycerol Formal, is a suitable solvent for the production of veterinary pharmaceuticals. Certain types of acetal can also be used as a healthier alternative to methylene chloride, acetone, NMP and MEK.
