In the field of natural clay barriers in well structures and groundwater monitoring sites, sealing clays and compounds are used as ring seals between the well pipe and the borehole.

The main requirements for all products used for these sealing purposes are impermeability, chemical resistance and hygienic safety with regard to groundwater contamination. To ensure that all these requirements are met, the Stephan Schmidt Gruppe has decided to certify the Tonpellets Type S, Compactonite 10/80 and Compactonite 10/200 with the KIWA certificate.

Barrel Pellets Type S:

The Ton Pellets Type S are standard clay pellets for many regular applications with low to medium depth ring seals and seals with bore holes.

Developed to meet more standard requirements and simple applications and therefore priced lower compared to other products. Like the two types of Compactonite, the barrel pellets have low wear, high settling rate and delayed swelling to make the application of this product easy. It has a reasonable swelling capacity to close off water pipes in boreholes. It is free of lignin sulfonic acid and other organic additives to ensure safe and environmentally sound use for all wellbore applications. This is also demonstrated by the KIWA certification.
