Factory-made mixture of plasticizing and thixotropic non-swellable clay minerals for cement-based
systems. Concresol® is used as processing aid, anti-settling / suspending agent and to control the
rheological properties of the concrete. The product is externally monitored by MPA Braunschweig and
approved. Due to its low content of residual water, Concresol® has a very good storage stability.
Cement suspensions
Concresol® is used to stabilize suspensions with water/solids ratios of 0.6 to 1.2 (injection grouts, grouts for annular gaps or cladded tubes, backfilling materials, mixes for VIB walls) and ensures a very good flow ability
with a distinct yield point. Suspensions remain stable even with higher amounts of electrolytes or longer processing times. This involves a number of advantages, e.g.
for the use in small cavities or salt-water bearing horizons.
Liquid soil
Temporarily flowable self-compacting backfilling materials may be produced as prefabricated building materials in ready-mixed concrete plants, or on site from excavated soil adding dry construction mixes and water. As an additive to stabilize the rheological properties, to increase the thixotropy and reduce the settling
of water, Concresol® provides cost-effective solutions for liquid soil formulations. Even in low-speed mixing processes in truck mixers, Concresol® ensures complete dispersion of the liquid soil.
Earth-moist concrete products and cast stone
Concresol® increases the productivity in the manufacturing process and improves the visual appearance of the products. Fresh concrete becomes more robust against fluctuating water contents. Higher green strength and gross density, denser concrete structures and smoother surfaces can be achieved. A denser structure reduces efflorescence and the need for noisy compaction work.
Building Chemicals
With Concresol®, building chemicals such as plasters, mortars or adhesives become plastic under shear stress and can be smoothly processed while being extremely stable at rest. This enables e.g. a frictional placement of grouts, adhesives can be securely applied, and the running-off of mortars and plasters in vertical applications is prevented. Moreover, the need for cellulose ethers in extrudable mortar systems can be reduced by using Concresol®.
Concretes of flow spread classes F4 to F6 and SCC
In soft, flowable, easily compactable or even self-compacting concrete, the homogeneous distribution of aggregates is a key quality feature. The sedimentation of coarse aggregates is a common problem particularly in large-scale concreting jobs with high filling levels. Concresol® stabilizes the concrete to reduce settling without notably influencing its flow spread.
